We’re thrilled to share that Sense has landed on Inc. Magazine’s “5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the U.S.” list for the first time — coming in at #1,194. Rankings are determined by revenue growth from 2018 to 2021 and our inclusion is based on our 544% growth during that time.
The Inc. 5000 list includes the most successful up-in-coming companies from every industry. Many well-known brands first gained recognition by being included on the list and have since gone on to go public and become market leaders. In many ways, debuting on the list is our coming-out party for the team here at Sense and we’re excited to be recognized for the hard work and progress we’ve made to this point.
It goes without saying that being on the Inc. 5000 list wouldn’t be possible without the support of our more than 700 customers. You’ve used our product to change how you engage talent, recommended us to your peers, and shared valuable feedback that has helped us finetune the Sense platform.
Being a part of the Inc. 5000 is another testament to the amazing customers we have and comes on the heels of Sense being named a leading recruiting platform by G2 in June. These awards and recognitions are all because our customers have such positive things to say about us. Every day, we’re taken aback by the kind words we hear from you.
Sense was founded in 2015 by a small team who realized that personalization and automation could transform how companies hire. Since that time, we’ve rapidly grown and now have 300+ employees distributed around the world. We’ve also expanded our platform to include an AI-powered chatbot, dynamic talent journeys, and bi-directional integrations with dozens of ATS partners.
As we celebrate our debut on the Inc. 5000 list, we wanted to take a moment to highlight a few of the milestones we’ve achieved over the past six years:
Much of our recent growth has been fueled by our $50 million Series D funding round from SoftBank in December 2021. We’ve put that money to work to expand our business through enhanced functionality in the Sense platform and by growing our product development, customer support, sales, and marketing teams.
We believe the recruiting paradigm has shifted to favor candidates. The companies that are moving fast and delivering a positive, personalized candidate experience are winning. We will continue to build talent engagement functionality that puts our current and future customers in a position to enjoy greater success.
Another major event worth celebrating is the opening of our Bangalore office last month. The beautiful, modern workspace is the new home of our Bangalore-based employees and comes in addition to our downtown San Francisco office.
We’re excited to offer our employees the option to work in collaborative workspaces, while also maintaining our commitment to remote work.
Debuting on the Inc. 5000 “Fastest Growing Private Companies in the U.S.” list is an amazing recognition but there are many more milestones ahead. We have big plans for the Sense talent engagement platform and our company that we’ll be sharing in the near future. Stay tuned!
